Construction Safety Training System (CSTS)

The Construction Safety Training System (CSTS) is a specialized orientation program designed to provide comprehensive safety knowledge for workers in the construction industry. it is often a mandatory pre-entry requirement for various industrial and commercial worksites.

It is structured into two main components:

  • CSTS Fundamentals: A core 9-module course that serves as a general site orientation.

    • Topics covered: Worker/employer responsibilities, hazard management, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and emergency response.

    • Duration: 2 hours to complete.

  • Add-on Modules: Over 20 specialized modules (5–15 minutes each) that allow employers to customize training for specific site needs.

    • Examples: Confined Space Awareness, working on heights Safety, and Mobile Equipment Awareness.
