Hello, My name is Shelly MacKenzie , and I am a third-class power engineer. I gained skills in power engineering while working at a power production plant in Calgary. As of 2018, I serve as president of the Institute of Power Engineers' Calgary branch. I am also a Safety Professional with over 25 years of experience working in Western Canada's oil and gas business. This experience includes fieldwork in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and British Columbia on the upstream side of the sector. I've worked extensively with exploration service firms to design safety procedures, assess existing safety systems, and provide training services. Currently, I teach both 5th and 4th class power engineering programs, as well as safety, at a postsecondary institution in Alberta.
