In Alberta, workplaces must follow occupational health and safety regulations – among others, these specify that businesses and care organizations must have personnel on staff with current, recognized workplace-approved CPR and first aid first aid in the workplace.

First aid training in the workplace course covers essential first aid skills every person should have. Students will develop confidence, knowledge and techniques for responding to acute medical conditions faced in emergency situations. Through a foundational first aid course, you will gain the ability to undertake timely and appropriate emergency response and the potential to save someone’s life when no one else can.
Our flexible course schedule means there are always openings for training. Register and start training right away. Start and finish your training in 1 or 2 days. Our course is available for you week days and weekends.

Saltus offers three courses to choose from:
CPR stand alone course: half a day of training offering first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for those who need training due to work requirements or who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home. The course covers all the skills in Emergency First Aid plus first aid for other injuries and illnesses including head and spinal injuries, fractures of the upper and lower limbs. This course includes Level C CPR training and certification (Adult, Child, Infant, and 2-rescuer resuscitation) and AED training and certification. Fees ($125 per person).
Emergency first aid (1 day): In the one-day course, students will learn to recognize and provide interventions for life-threatening emergencies until medical aid arrives. Topics include: CPR and choking for adults, shock and unconsciousness, severe bleeding, head & spinal injuries, major medical conditions, and AED training and certification. Fees ($155 per person).
Standard first aid level C (2 days): comprehensive two-day course offering first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for those who need training due to work requirements or who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home. Course meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines. Fees ($280 per person)
